SPEAKERS FORUM - LEADERSHIP LESSONS
On the 10th of December, in collaboration with Keynote (https://www.womenkeynote.com/), we have invited speakers, Kamudi Goda and Jacinta Quah, as well as moderator Neha Thakkar, to discuss inclusive and modern leadership with Curtin students. Each speaker has provided students insights about how leaders and the type of leadership have changed over the years, based on their experiences.
SPEAKERS' FORUM - PURPOSE LED BRAND BUILDING
On 10th September 2019, in collaboration with Women KeyNote (https://www.womenkeynote.com/), we have invited Dalia Fredheim to come to give our students a wholesome presentation about marketing. Dalia had spent 17 years working at P&G and during her time there, she had led several brand-building campaigns, including the iconic 'Like A Girl' campaign, which had won 14 Cannes advertising awards.
SPEAKER'S FORUM - CAREERS IN FINANCE: HOW I GOT HERE & WHAT MAKES ME STAY?
On 7th May 2019, we have three speakers from the finance industry, Kasia Suzor from Aquifer Institute, Diya Lowe from Investec Asset Management and Miranda Lam from Broad Peak Investment Advisor, to come to and conduct a panel for Curtin students on their experience in the finance industry. Thank you to the organisation, 100 Women in Finance, for making this event a success.
LINKEDIN WORKSHOP WITH DR ZAHIRAH
On 8th April 2019, the club had invited Dr Zahirah, a resident professor here at Curtin Singapore, to conduct a LinkedIn Workshop for our members. This workshop is educate our members on creating an attractive LinkedIn profile!
WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP WITH PROFESSOR LINLEY LORD
On 1st April 2019, WIB has invited Curtin Singapore's Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Linley Lord, to come and share more about her and her work experience to the club members. This session with her had inspired the members to strive hard in the future. The club thank Professor Linley for her time with us.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2019
On 8th March, we celebrate International Women's Day. WIB had set up an activity booth where we encourage every student and staff in Curtin Singapore to celebrate the women.
NETWORKING SESSION 101 WITH SEAN O'HARA
On 11th March 2019, we've invited one of our school professor, Mr Sean O'Hara, to come in a conduct a networking workshop for our club members. In this session, our club members are able to pick up some tips and tricks on how to network with people in the business industry.
SPEAKER'S FORUM - NORMA SIT
On 20th December, we've invited the Norma Sit, an entrepreneur and founder and CEO of a Fintech called Numoni, to come to share her industrial experience to Curtin students, including her working experience at VISA International Asia Pacific as the Director of Acquirer Services.
